CompTIA lists the A+ voucher at $274 in its US store. One voucher covers one exam (Core 1 or Core 2), so the two exams cost $548 in total. A voucher with Retake Assurance costs $359, and a voucher must be used within 12 months of purchase.

No required prerequisites are listed. CompTIA recommends 12 months of hands-on experience in an IT support specialist job role.

Renewal

Earn 20 CEUs in the three-year cycle and pay a $75 CE fee, complete the CertMaster CE course for A+, pass the latest A+ exams, or earn a qualifying higher-level CompTIA certification such as Network+ or Security+.
